1950年代のアメリカで生産されていたヴィンテージカバーオールを参考に、当時のデザインや縫製仕様、独特の素材感を忠実に再現したモデルです。

アメリカのカバーオールは、古くから労働者たちの作業着として親しまれてきたワークウェアのひとつです。実用性や耐久性を重視して発展してきたそのデザインには、時代ごとにさまざまな特徴が見られます。

このモデルでは、1950年代のヴィンテージカバーオールに見られるラグランスリーブの巻き縫いや、美しい曲線を描くパッチポケットなど、当時の特徴的なディテールを丁寧に再現しています。

特に、曲線部分を含む巻き縫いや複雑な形状のポケットの縫製には、高度な技術と熟練した職人の技が求められます。一見シンプルなデザインの中にも、細部までこだわった本格的なワークウェアの仕様が詰め込まれています。

素材には、1950年代のヴィンテージデニムを研究して開発した、orSlowオリジナルの9ozライトオンスデニムを使用しています。

当時のヴィンテージデニムが持つ独特の風合いを再現するため、糸の太さや不規則なムラの出方、織り組織に至るまでこだわって開発しました。

生地表面には自然な凹凸やざらっとした独特の手触りがあり、現代の均一なデニムとは異なる、素朴で味わい深い表情が特徴です。

また、9ozのライトオンスデニムは、ワークウェアらしい丈夫さを持ちながらも、軽やかで柔らかな着心地が魅力です。季節に合わせてシャツの上から羽織ったり、インナーとして重ね着したりと、幅広いスタイリングに取り入れることができます。

着用と洗濯を繰り返すことで生地が徐々に柔らかくなり、自然な色落ちやアタリが現れます。長年着込まれたヴィンテージデニムのように、使い込むほどに風合いが増し、身体になじんで愛着が深まっていく素材です。

カラーは、デニムワンウォッシュとデニムユーズドウォッシュの2種類を展開しています。

This model carefully reproduces the distinctive features of 1950s vintage coveralls, including raglan sleeves with flat-felled seams and beautifully curved patch pockets.

The construction of these details, particularly the curved flat-felled seams and intricately shaped pockets, requires a high level of sewing skill and experienced craftsmanship. Beneath the jacket's seemingly simple appearance lies a carefully considered construction that reflects the authentic character of traditional workwear.

The fabric is orSlow's original 9oz lightweight denim, carefully developed through the study of authentic vintage denim from the 1950s.

Special attention was given to yarn thickness, natural irregularities, and weave construction to recreate the distinctive texture and appearance of denim from that period.

The fabric features a naturally uneven surface with a slightly rough hand feel, capturing the rich, rustic character of vintage denim rather than the more uniform appearance of modern fabrics.

Despite its durable workwear character, the 9oz lightweight denim offers a soft, comfortable feel and is easy to wear throughout the seasons. The jacket can be worn over a shirt as a light outer layer or comfortably layered beneath heavier outerwear.

With repeated wear and washing, the denim gradually softens and develops natural fading and distinctive wear patterns. Over time, the jacket takes on the character of well-worn vintage denim, becoming more comfortable and personal with every wear.
