1940年代のアメリカ海軍（U.S. Navy）で使用されていたヴィンテージデニムハットをモチーフに、当時の独特な雰囲気を残しながら、品質や縫製仕様を見直して製作したモデルです。

素材には、1940年代から1960年代初頭にかけてアメリカのワークウェアに使用されていたヴィンテージデニムを研究し、綿の選定から糸の開発、織り組織に至るまでこだわって作り上げた、orSlowオリジナルの9ozセルビッジデニムを使用しています。

当時のデニム特有の風合いを再現するため、糸の太さや不規則なムラの形状、打ち込み本数などを細かく研究し、旧式のシャットル織機でゆっくりと織り上げています。

このデニムは、ヴィンテージ特有の表面の自然な凹凸や、ざらっとした独特の手触りが特徴です。 現代の均一なデニムとは異なり、素朴で味わい深い表情を持っています。

また、着用と洗濯を繰り返すことで生地が徐々に柔らかくなり、自然な色落ちや風合いの変化が現れます。長年使い込まれたヴィンテージデニムのように、使うほどに独特の表情へと育ち、愛着が深まっていく素材です。

デザインは、1940年代のアメリカ海軍のデニムハットが持つシンプルで機能的なディテールを参考にしながら、日常でも快適に着用できるよう仕上げています。

Inspired by vintage denim hats worn by the U.S. Navy during the 1940s, this model faithfully captures the distinctive character of the original while incorporating refinements in quality and construction for everyday wear.

The fabric is orSlow's original 9oz selvedge denim, carefully developed through the study of authentic American workwear denim from the 1940s to the early 1960s.

From cotton selection and yarn development to weave construction, every detail has been carefully considered to recreate the unique texture and appearance of vintage denim from that era.

Special attention was given to the thickness and irregularity of the yarns, as well as the weaving density. The fabric is slowly woven on traditional shuttle looms, creating the naturally uneven surface and distinctive character associated with vintage denim.

One of the most recognizable features of this original denim is its slightly rough, textured surface, with natural irregularities that give it a rich, authentic vintage feel. Unlike the more uniform appearance of modern denim, it has a rustic character that reflects the qualities of traditional American workwear fabrics.

With repeated wear and washing, the denim gradually softens and develops natural fading and subtle variations in texture. Over time, the hat takes on a unique, naturally worn appearance reminiscent of authentic vintage denim, becoming more personal with use.
