ORIGINAL RIPSTOP POPLIN

1960年代US ARMYがUTILITY PANTSとして採用していたカーゴパンツをモチーフに作成。当時のRIP STOP POPLINの素材を分析しオリジナルで素材から開発しました。RIP STOPという素材名称は破れ止めという事で生地を織る際に細番手の糸の間に、太番手の糸を格子状に織り込み表面に格子状の織模様が見える素材です。破れた際に太番手の糸の部分で破れを食い止めるためにそのような仕様になっています。1960年代当時のRIP STOP POPLINは特徴的でやや光沢があり緯糸の太番手部分は強調されるのですが経糸の太番手部分は強調されず独特な表情に見えます。
orslow V5260は 1960年代の実物独特の素材感とシルエットをできる限り再現しました。細番手でしっかりと打ち込まれており当時は軍が採用していたという事もあり丈夫であるという事が言えます。裾にはドローコードが付き様々な着こなしが出来ます。流行に左右されることなく丈夫で長持ちするカーゴパンツです。

These cargo pants are modeled after the Utility Pants adopted by the U.S. Army in the 1960s. We analyzed the fabric used at the time, known as Ripstop Poplin, and developed the material from scratch. The term 'Ripstop' refers to a fabric construction that incorporates thicker threads woven in a grid pattern between thinner threads, creating a visible checkered texture on the surface. This design helps prevent tearing, as the thicker threads stop the tear from spreading. The Ripstop Poplin from the 1960s had a distinctive slightly glossy appearance, with the thicker weft threads standing out, while the thicker warp threads were less emphasized, giving it a unique texture.

The Orslow V5260 faithfully reproduces the distinctive fabric feel and silhouette of the original pants from the 1960s as much as possible. The fabric is densely woven with fine threads, making it highly durable, as it was initially developed for military use. The pants feature drawcords at the hem, allowing for versatile styling. These cargo pants are long-lasting and durable, unaffected by trends.
