素材には、1960年代のアメリカ軍で使用されていたリップストップポプリン（RIPSTOP POPLIN）を細かく分析し、糸の選定から織り組織に至るまでこだわって開発した、orSlowオリジナルの生地を使用しています。

リップストップとは、「Rip（裂ける）」と「Stop（止める）」を組み合わせた名称で、生地が裂けても、その進行を抑えるために考えられた織物です。細番手の糸を使用した生地に、一定間隔で太番手の補強糸を格子状に織り込むことで、引き裂きに対する耐久性を高めています。

1960年代のリップストップポプリンには、現代のリップストップ生地とは異なる独特の表情があります。生地の表面にはわずかな光沢があり、緯糸方向の太番手の補強糸が比較的はっきりと浮かび上がる一方、経糸方向の補強糸は目立ちにくく、特徴的な格子模様を形成しています。

Inspired by the utility cargo pants worn by the U.S. Army during the 1960s, the orSlow V5260 faithfully recreates the original fabric, silhouette, and construction details of military trousers from that era.

The fabric is orSlow's original ripstop poplin, carefully developed through an in-depth study of authentic 1960s U.S. Army fabric. From yarn selection to weave construction, every detail was considered to reproduce the distinctive character of the original material.

The name "ripstop" comes from the words "rip" and "stop," referring to a special weaving technique designed to prevent small tears from spreading. Stronger reinforcement yarns are woven at regular intervals among finer yarns, creating a subtle grid pattern that increases the fabric's resistance to tearing.

Ripstop poplin from the 1960s has a unique appearance that differs from many modern ripstop fabrics. The surface has a subtle sheen, while the heavier reinforcement yarns running in the weft direction are more pronounced. In contrast, the reinforcement yarns in the warp direction are less visible, creating a distinctive and subtly irregular grid pattern.
