orSlowの定番モデル「US NAVY UTILITY PANTS」から派生し、よりワイドなシルエットに仕上げたモデルです。
1940年代の第二次世界大戦中にアメリカ海軍（U.S. Navy）で使用されていたヴィンテージのデニム製作業用パンツを細かく研究し、当時のデザインや縫製仕様、シルエットに至るまで忠実に再現することを目指して企画しました。
素材には、1940年代のヴィンテージデニムを細かく分析し、綿の選定から糸の開発、染色、織り組織に至るまでこだわって作り上げた、orSlowオリジナルの9ozセルビッジデニムを使用しています。
旧式のシャットル織機でゆっくりと織り上げた生地は、表面に自然な凹凸やざらっとした独特の手触り、細かなネップ感があり、1940年代のワークウェア用デニムを思わせる無骨で味わい深い表情が特徴です。
着用と洗濯を繰り返すことで、生地が徐々に柔らかくなり、自然な色落ちや風合いの変化が現れます。 長年穿き込まれたヴィンテージデニムのように、経年変化を楽しめる素材です。
シルエットは、1940年代のアメリカ海軍のワークパンツに見られる、わたりから裾にかけてゆとりのあるワイドフィット。当時の作業着ならではの無骨でゆったりとしたバランスを忠実に再現しています。
1940年代のヴィンテージが持つ独特の雰囲気を、素材から細部の仕様に至るまで丁寧に追求した一本です。
Developed as a wider-fitting variation of orSlow's classic US Navy Utility Pants, this model features a generous, relaxed silhouette inspired by vintage military workwear.
Based on authentic denim utility pants worn by the U.S. Navy during World War II in the 1940s, this model was carefully developed through an in-depth study of original vintage examples, with the aim of faithfully recreating their design, construction details, and silhouette.
The fabric is orSlow's original 9oz selvedge denim, carefully developed through the study of authentic vintage denim from the 1940s. Particular attention was given to every stage of production, from cotton selection and yarn development to dyeing and weave construction.
Slowly woven on traditional shuttle looms, the fabric features a naturally uneven surface, a slightly rough hand feel, and subtle nep-like irregularities, capturing the rugged, distinctive character of 1940s American workwear denim.
With repeated wear and washing, the denim gradually softens and develops natural fading and subtle variations in texture, creating the rich, authentic appearance of well-worn vintage denim.
The silhouette features a generous wide fit with ample room from the thighs down to the hems, faithfully reflecting the relaxed, functional proportions of 1940s U.S. Navy work pants.
From the original denim fabric to the carefully reproduced construction details, every element has been thoughtfully developed to faithfully recreate the distinctive character of authentic 1940s vintage workwear.
